3 To See At ACC: Meet Thea, Honey And Carrots!

New York (CBSNewYork) CBSNewYork.com and 1010 WINS have teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable animals looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Thea, Honey And Carrots!

Thea (A1071860- photo above) "I found Thea sitting front and center in her kennel, and when I said hello, she began to dance and do the dolphin dive, rubbing up against the door in hopes of enticing me to pet her," writes an ACC volunteer. "So I did.  She is just a lovely grey tabby with a pretty white neck, soft and sweet and just waiting for someone's lap to sit in." Meet Thea at ACC's Brooklyn Care Center, 2336 Linden Boulevard. At two years old, she qualifies for ACC's July cat adoption promotion – the adoption fee for all cats one year and older is waived!

Honey (A1080001) "Honey, appropriately named, is very sweet (pardon the pun)," notes an ACC volunteer. "She wags her tail non-stop, hopping up a little in the kennel while I try to wrangle her onto my leash. Once out, she's ready to explore.  Honey wants to greet everyone that passes us by, and is particularly interested in the work being done on a nearby telephone pole. She watched so intently you would think she knew what they were doing!!! :)  Honey is energetic and fun to spend time with." Meet this approximately four-year-old cutie at ACC's Staten Island Care Center, 3139 Veterans Road West.

Carrots (A1075776)  "This girl is super smart and has a big, rather feisty personality," writes an ACC volunteer. Carrots, about 14 months old, "craves attention and adores affection, and will protest vigorously when you leave her, thumping and shoving her nose through her cage bars." Hop on over to ACC's Manhattan Care Center, 326 E. 110th Street, to meet her.
