Report: Ryan Fitzpatrick's NJ Home Is Now For Rent
FLORHAM PARK, NJ (CBSNewYork) -- First Ryan Fitzpatrick stopped responding to Brandon Marshall's texts. Now his home is up for rent.
The free agent quarterback, who has been locked in a monthslong contract dispute with the Jets, is moving, according to NJ.com. To where? That is unclear.
Fitzpatrick, his wife and five children have been renting the $9,500-a-month, eight-bedroom house in Chatham, New Jersey. The home's listing agent said its current tenants have not yet moved out.
Fitzpatrick's pickup truck was still in the driveway Tuesday, and the home appeared to be occupied, NJ.com reported. But no one answered when a reporter knocked on the door.

The Jets have reportedly offered Fitzpatrick a three-year, $24 million contract that would pay him $12 million this season. Fitzpatrick is believed to not be happy about the second and third years of the deal, which would average $6 million.
Marshall, who has been vocal about wanting the Jets to re-sign the QB, told Play.it's "I Am Rapaport" podcast recently that he's concerned after not hearing from Fitzpatrick lately.
"I don't know what's going on," Marshall said. "To be honest, me and Fitz talk everyday, all the time, but I texted him the last two weeks three times and there's no response. The only thing that he can do to make this right is to say he was on vacation, I was out of the country. It's not like him. It's scaring me right now. It's scaring me that my guy hasn't texted me back."
ESPN reported in April that Fitzpatrick told people he would rather not play football than play for the Jets at their contract offer. But the 33-year-old quarterback later disputed that report, telling reporters, "I'm playing football next year."
