Police: Dishwasher Put Camera In Bathroom Of Upscale LI Restaurant

HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police say a Long Island man is accused of placing a cellphone video camera in the employee restroom of the Long Island restaurant where he worked.

They say a female employee discovered the phone -- which was set to record -- Saturday evening.

It happened at the Prime -- an upscale American bar and restaurant on New York Avenue in Huntington.

Police say Jose Rivas worked as a dishwasher at the restaurant. They charged him with unlawful surveillance.

It wasn't clear if the 34-year-old Huntington resident had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

Rivas will be arraigned Sunday in Central Islip.
