NYPD: Man Sought In Connection With Attempted Rape In Prospect Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with an attempted rape in Brooklyn earlier this month.

Police said the suspect came up behind a 31-year-old woman as she was walking on Park Place in Prospect Heights just before 2 a.m. on July 12.

He pushed her to the ground and took off her underwear, police said.

The victim managed to free herself and ran for help, police said.

She was treated at a hospital for scrapes to her face and knee.
