Ball Gown Wearing Bank Robbery Suspect Turns Self In To Authorities

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A suspected bank robber who wore a ball gown and heels during a heist has turned himself into police.

According to police, the suspect robbed a Santander Bank at 81 Water St. on Staten Island in July, while wearing a silver and black dress along with heels, a hat and sunglasses.

Sources told CBS2 the suspect pulled out a silver handgun during the heist, yelling, "give me the money and hurry up about it," before taking an undetermined amount of cash.

Video from nearby convenience store King Deli of the Island later showed the suspect ditching the dress and running off in shorts, blue and white Nike Jordan sneakers, and no shirt.

Jordan Wise turned himself into the police in connection to the incident on Wednesday, authorities said.

Wise has been arrested and is now facing charges.
