9/8 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

We may be counting down to fall, but we're not done with summer yet, folks. The humidity will be even higher than yesterday, and with less in the way of cloud cover, our temps will be able to soar to around 90°. As for the feels like temp, that will be closer to 95° -- stay cool!

Into tonight, we could see a passing shower or storm, but odds are low. It will be muggy, too, with temps only falling to a balmy 77° or so.

A muggy start will give way to another hot one tomorrow as temps take aim for the low 90s. And it will still be a little humid out there, so feels like temps will be in the mid 90s or so again. Odds for a shower or storm are low, but worth mentioning.

And we'll be dealing with the heat right through Saturday as a warm front lifts back through. Now, we may not officially get our heat wave, but it will still be hot and sticky our there. As for storm activity, we're looking at about a 20-30 percent chance with the best bet later in the day.

We'll see our odds for showers and storms go up Saturday night with things coming to an end early Sunday morning. Then, through Sunday afternoon, we'll see a breeze fill in with our humidity levels falling off. Highs on Sunday will be a little closer to normal in the low to mid 80s.
