Man Steals Dozens Of Cartons Of Cigarettes From Long Island City Store

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD said a man broke into a Long Island City, Queens, store and stole dozens of cartons of cigarettes, along with cash and scratch-off lottery tickets.

Police said a man broke the front glass door of MDS Corp. at 32-02 Queens Blvd. after 9 p.m. on Aug. 29, and stole $200 from the cash register, 52 cartons of cigarettes and 59 scratch-off lottery tickets.

The suspect is described as a man with a beard, who was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, dark-colored shorts, black socks, dark-colored sneakers and had a black and red backpack.
