NYPD: 82-Year-Old Woman Found Dead With Wrist, Ankles Bound In East Village Apartment
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An elderly woman was found dead with her wrist and ankles bound in her East Village apartment on Friday afternoon, police said.
The NYPD said they responded to a 911 call around 5:35 p.m. about two women assaulted inside of 711 FDR Drive.
When police arrived, they found 82-year-old Ella-Nae Biaz unconscious with her wrist and ankles bound with tape. A 39-year-old woman was able to free herself and call police.
The elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 39-year-old was taken to Bellevue Hospital.
A man has been taken into custody. Sources told CBS2 the person taken into custody is the son of the 39-year-old.
The investigation is ongoing.
