Boomer & Carton: Did NFL Tell Its TV Partners To Stop Showing Anthem Protests?

Craig couldn’t help but notice that while the national anthem was being performed prior to Monday night’s Giants-Vikings game in Minnesota, the ESPN television cameras did not pan to the sidelines, which seems to have become the norm as of late considering all of the player protests.

Boomer wondered if perhaps the NFL sent out some sort of edict or mandate directing the network not to show would-be protesters, and is curious to see what will happen Thursday night, when the 49ers host the Cardinals in San Francisco. The driving force behind the anthem protests, Colin Kaepernick, is the 49ers’ backup quarterback.
