LI Day Camp Worker Had 'Massive Collection' Of Child Porn, DA Says

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Long Island day camp employee has been charged in a 112 count indictment that accuses him of sexually abusing an 11-year-old boy and possessing a "massive collection" of child pornography, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Keith Meyn, 34, of Oakdale, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Suffolk County court and is being held on $250,000 cash bail or $500,000 bond.

Meyn participated in the sex crimes involving children for over a decade, and he helped distribute photographs and video featuring young boys, prosecutors said.

"The defendant participated in disturbing photography and videography featuring young boys," said Spota. "We believe there are more victims of this predator out there and we are asking them to come forward, even if the crimes happened years ago."

Prosecutors believe Meyn was employed at Camp Kenwal in Melville as a group leader, counselor and Director of Maintenance Operations. Prosecutors said Meyn was also employed at a film company and two modeling agencies.

The camp released a statement saying they were "shocked and saddened'' by the arrest. The camp said authorities have not given them any reason to suspect Meyn was involved in the alleged activity while employed at the camp.

If convicted, Meyn faces 50 years behind bars.
