3 To See At ACC: Meet Marsden, Bruno and Labyrinth

New York (CBSNewYork) CBSNewYork.com and 1010 WINS have teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable animals looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Marsden, Bruno and Labyrinth.  Plus, just a few more days to take advantage of ACC's "Race To The Right House" promotion, where if you 'elect to adopt' a pet, the adoption fee is only $20.16 for animals six months and older.

Marsden (A1094756) "With all of the controversy surrounding the upcoming election," notes an ACC volunteer, "Marsden is ready to be your third 'pawty' candidate!  He's such a handsome, charming fellow, it'd be hard not to cast your vote for him.  He is on the larger size, with the most beautiful tiger brindle, and a big blockhead upon his stocky shoulders. Yet, Marsden walks like a dream on the leash, seems housetrained, and is gentle toward passing dogs.  As we stopped to take some pictures, a passerby asked me if I had trained him to pose! Since this was only our first encounter, that comment speaks volumes about his calm, eager-to-please demeanor." Elect to adopt Marsden, who's approximately two years old, at ACC's Brooklyn Care Center, 2336 Linden Boulevard.

Bruno (A0980292) "Bruno sounds like a tough name but he is as sweet as sugar!" an ACC volunteer writes of this cutie. "At first he is a little shy. Talking softly warms him up!  He loves his whiskers and ears rubbed. After that he wants his body rubbed." Beautiful Bruno, approximately five years old, also enjoys treats and feather toys.  Elect to adopt this affectionate and playful feline at ACC's Manhattan Care Center, 326 E. 110th Street.

Labyrinth (A1091024) Labyrinth, a volunteer notes, "has wonderful large mutton chops and long tresses that flow chaotically from between her big pink ears.  And those ears!  Both move around independently in all directions - straight up, out like wings, flopped down - and often go in different directions. Labyrinth brings to mind a mythical creature, such as a unicorn.  Maybe that's why she has a somewhat mythical name!  She is a fairly relaxed bun, and seems very comfortable with people, soaking up any affection that's offered." Meet this unique, approximately two-year-old rabbit at ACC's Manhattan Care Center, 326 E. 110th Street.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year.
