Urn, Yankees World Series Ring Missing From Stolen Car Found In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There was good news and bad news for the owner of a car that was apparently stolen in Manhattan.

The 49-year-old owner parked his vehicle in front of 133 West 27th St. in Chelsea around 2 a.m. last Wednesday and when he returned, the car was gone.

It was found two days later parked in front of 449 East 89th St. in Brooklyn, but police said an urn and a 1977 Yankees World Series ring were missing from the vehicle.

The urn contained the ashes of the vehicle owner's mother, the Daily News reported. It is unclear if the ring is a replica.

Police released a surveillance image of the suspect getting out of the car in Brooklyn.

Police also released photos of the ring and the urn.
