'You Can Kiss Your Visa Goodbye,' Motorist Hurls Expletive Filled Tirade At Arab Uber Driver

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's one thing to honk the horn at a fellow driver in traffic, but this was much more.

An Uber driver named Mohammed recorded an expletive filled tirade on Crescent Street in Queens, last Thursday, 1010 WINS Al Jones reported.

"Trump is president (expletive), so you can kiss your visa goodbye scumbag. They'll deport you soon don't worry you (expletive) terrorist," a voice can be heard saying. "I don't care bro, video, you're a loser. You're not even from here, you terrorist (expletive)."

Mohammed -- an Arab -- showed the video to St. John's University adjunct professor Chris Cody, who shared it on social media.

State Senator Michael Gianaris said hate crimes are up, including a recent attack near the scene of the Uber confrontation.

"A Muslim young man had his eye socket broken, and he's in the hospital. That is now being investigated as a hate crime by the police," he said.

As the Washington Post reported, there has been a spike in reports of intimidation and harassment since Election Day -- 701 as of Friday, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Perpetrators have allegedly been acting in Trump's name, and have targeted immigrants, blacks, Muslims, and other minorities. There have also been a number of anti-Semitic incidents reported.
