MUST WATCH: Felician University Player Hits Game-Winning Buzzer-Beater From Beyond Half-Court

WATERBURY, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- A freshman guard swished a buzzer-beater from beyond half-court Wednesday night to lift Felician University to victory.

With the score tied at 65 on the road at Post University in Waterbury, Zamir Wright, of Newark, took an inbounds pass with 2.2 seconds remaining, raced up the floor and then heaved the shot from more than 50 feet away, giving the Golden Falcons a 68-65 victory.

The basket set off a raucous celebration and dogpile along the Felician baseline.

Just before the game-winning shot, Post had tied the game on a jumper by Joseph Lockwood.

Felician, located in Rutherford, New Jersey, is a NCAA Division II program. Both Felician and Post are members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
