Woman, 52, Dies Following Bronx Apartment Fire
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 52-year-old woman died after a fire broke out inside a Bronx apartment Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the apartment on Southern Boulevard around 9:50 a.m.
Once they arrived, they found the woman unconscious and unresponsive inside her 11th floor bedroom. She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Officials have not released the woman's name.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
