NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Art pieces influenced by the life of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat are currently on display at the Long Island Children's Museum.

The Radiant Child exhibit is the work of award-winning artist Javaka Steptoe.

He sits down with CBS2's Andrea Grymes to talk about his inspiration for the project.
