Wings Of 2 Planes Make Contact At LaGuardia Airport

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- No one was hurt when the wings of two planes made contact at LaGuardia Airport Thursday morning.

It happened around 8:36 a.m. at the intersection of Taxiway B and Taxiway M, according to the Port Authority.

The Federal Aviation Administration says Westjet Air Flight 1200, a Boeing 737, made contact with the wing of Republic Airline Flight 5899, an Embraer E170.

No injuries were reported. Both aircraft taxied to the ramp area.

The FAA says it will investigate.
