5-Alarm Blaze Rips Through Farmers Market In Glendale, Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- FDNY crews are battling a five-alarm fire at a farmers market in Queens late Saturday.
Flames broke out at the market on Myrtle Avenue in Glendale just before 9 p.m.
Video posted to social media showed crowds of people looking on as firefighters doused the blaze with water in an attempt to bring it under control.
The FDNY says 9 people suffered non-life threatening injuries, which remained active as of 12:15 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
