Sunday Marks National Sugar Cookie Day To The Delight Of Sweet Tooths Everywhere

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Sweet tooths of the world unite! It may be more popular around the holidays, but Sunday marks National Sugar Cookie day.

The sugar cookie originated in Nazareth, Pennsylvania in the 1700's. In fact, it was first known as the "Nazareth Cookie."

Since then, it's become a family favorite in part because it's made from items most people already have on hand.

Sugar, flour, eggs, butter, vanilla, and baking powder are all you need to get the party started.

Eat up and enjoy!
