Boomer and Jerry Recco were once again manning the fort on Thursday morning and they got the ball rolling with the Yankees and the managerial button pusher that is Joe Girardi.

The Bombers hung on to beat the Rays, 3-2 at Citi Field on Wednesday, a victory that featured Girardi executing one quick hook after another.

The Mets, meanwhile, were in Chicago with Matt Harvey on the hill, which proved to be disastrous as the Cubs rolled to a 17-5 victory.
