Driver Hurt After Sanitation Truck Flips Over On Staten Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Icy roads on Staten Island proved dangerous even for a New York City sanitation truck filled with salt.

Authorities say the truck flipped on the driver's side after hitting an icy spot on Arthur Kill Road in the Richmond section Monday morning.

Firefighters had to rescue the driver. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition with neck and back injuries.
