After then-Yankees pitcher Chien-Ming Wang sprained his right foot running the bases in the Yankees 13-0 win over the then-N.L. Houston Astros, Yankees co-Chairman Hank Steinbrenner called for the National League to “join the 21st Century” and have designated hitters. Chris wanted no part of that, which led to this discussion.

As manager of the Yankees, Joe Giradi joins Mike weekly during the season.
