Their uniforms and stories may differ, but Veterans Day marks an opportunity for U.S. military service members to come together and remember the sacrifices they’ve made, and for the public to honor their sense of duty, performed in the past and present.

Date & Time

The parade will kick off on Sunday,  rain or shine. It starts at approximately 11:25 a.m. and concludes around 3:30 p.m.

 Route

The parade goes up Fifth Avenue, from 26th to 56th Street. The route is 1.4 miles (approx. 35 min on foot).

Bridges & Road Closures

A special event construction embargo is in effect for the parade until Friday night. For more information, click here. Alternate Side Parking regulations are not in effect on Sunday and will also be suspended for Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12, as previously scheduled. All other parking regulations, including parking meter, remain in effect.

Veterans Week NYC

This year, the United War Veterans Council is celebrating the first-ever Veteran’s Week NYC. The NYC Veterans Day Parade will be the centerpiece of this program of events and activities, presented by a wide range of organizations and companies, which will highlight New York City’s commitment to Americas veteran and military community.
