While the Big Apple bakes so does the new 12 limited buses going east and westbound. My ride home from The Bronx to Manhattan left me somewhat breathless when I realized that it was just as hot on the bus as it was outside. I asked the bus driver, a number of times, to turn up the air and he stated it was on. I told him if he could not get sufficient air on the bus that it should be put out of service. During this extreme heat MTA should make sure the buses are sufficiently cooled and assist drivers who are not familiar with the new buses. I spend over 2 grand a year riding the MTA and I don’t expect to sweat it out!
