2011 MLB Trade Deadline
Dependable Dodger starter Hiroki Kuroda makes a better trade deadline fit for the New York Yankees than Ubaldo Jimenez or for that matter any available starter on the trade block. It wouldn’t take a massive deal to land the services of the Japanese hurler.
Bobby Parnell is the leading candidate to take over as New York Mets’ closer. Without a significant history of closing out games, it’s hard to tell if he has what it takes but Parnell does possess some traits needed to be a successful fireman.
The Mets must deal away Francisco Rodriguez as the 55-game clause that triggers his $17.5 million option for 2012 nears. K-Rod is an attractive option to many MLB clubs and his departure could begin a chain reaction that would see Jose Reyes and Carlos Beltran leave Citi Field.
