Family, Friends Bid Final Farewell To Retired Firefighters Who Died On Same Day From 9/11-Related Illnesses

Firefighter Daniel Heglund, Lt. Howard Bischoff, and Firefighter Robert Leaver all died Monday as a result of illnesses they came down with while working at the World Trade Center site after the attacks, according to the Uniformed Fire Officers Association.

Pentagon, Shanksville First Responders Apply For 9/11 Compensation Fund

Federal officials say at least 91 people from the Pentagon and Shankville, Penn. have applied for payment from a multibillion-dollar fund for people with an illness related to the attacks.
