Firefighters Brave 5 Alarms, Brutal Heat Battling Passaic Apartment Building Blaze

The fire broke out just before 9 a.m. Friday on the third floor of a building on Gregory Avenue. When firefighters arrived, residents were screaming for help from the windows and fire escapes, officials said.
