Questioning Awaits NJ Police Superintendent Over Gov. Christie’s Use Of State Choppers

The Assembly Homeland Security Committee called State Police Superintendent Rick Fuentes to testify after reports that Christie used choppers twice recently to attend his son’s high school baseball games.

N.J. Gov. Christie Reimburses State For Use Of Chopper To Son’s Ball Games

A spokeswoman for Chris Christie said the governor and State Republican Committee are reimbursing the state for all personal use of a state police helicopter, which includes two trips to watch his oldest son’s baseball games.

Christie Continues To Catch Grief For Chopper Ride To Son’s Game

NJ State Police officials said Christie’s use of the helicopter came at no additional taxpayer cost. However, Democratic Party chairman John Wisniewski said it was not for the state police to determine whether it was appropriate.
