Coming NJ TRANSIT Rail Fare Hike Based On Destination

The increase, which will take effect on March 1, will not impact everyone on the Pascack Valley, Bergen and Main Lines. Fares are only going up for those traveling to the northernmost station and for those on the Port Jervis Line.

Power Outage Strands NJ TRANSIT Commuters Thursday Morning

Two trains lost power in a Hudson River tunnel, with two other trains held up behind them. Amtrak deployed diesel engines to remove the stalled trains from the tunnel.

NJ Transit: Hoboken-Bound Train Kills Man On Tracks

The incident caused delays of up to 60 minutes on the Bergen Line. NJ Transit spokeswoman Courtney Carroll says the passengers were transferred to two trains to continue their trip.
