Boil Water Advisory
Several Westchester communities will be under a boil water advisory until midnight.
A boil water advisory has been issued for seven communities in Westchester County as a precaution.
Officials say the water supply is contaminated with two types of bacteria, E. coli and fecal coliform.
Friday’s leak happened at Park Avenue and 14th Street around the corner from where the 30-inch pipe was broken by a construction crew at around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Officials said that partial service should be restored within the next two days, but full service likely won’t be restored until at least Wednesday.
The heat wave is in full effect again on Sunday. It’s sunny, hot and humid, and for the second consecutive day there is a heat advisory in effect for the Tri-State Area.
The alert affects Briarcliff, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Grasslands Reservation, Elmsford, Irvington, Hawthorne, Valhalla, and Thornwood.
