A Utah man has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges in the killing of a suburban New York equestrian and wounding of his partner.
Brett Knight was arraigned Wednesday on a six-count indictment. His lawyer said Knight is looking forward to fighting the charges.
Brett Knight, 45, said nothing to reporters as he was escorted from the Sixth Precinct to an awaiting vehicle that took him to First District Court in Central Islip where he was arraigned Friday morning.
Brett Knight, 45, was apprehended by U.S. marshals at a house in Seymour, Tenn. on Wednesday, authorities said.
According to reports, Suffolk County homicide detectives are looking into reports that Ross Reisner was being harassed by text message and had received a dead bird in a box delivered to his home anonymously.
