An emotional vigil was held Wednesday to remember a college student who was found beaten to death near Rutgers University.
The student’s mother told the Hartford Courant the incident was a misunderstanding, and friends of his said the samurai outfit he was wearing was his Halloween costume.
Gunshots were reported Tuesday night at a building on the Princeton University campus.
The Tyler Clementi Foundation, which they set up in their son’s honor after his death in September 2010, is co-sponsoring the event with Rutgers.
Rutgers University said Tuesday it’s a way of becoming more welcoming to gay students — co-ed dorm rooms for gay and straight students. But will it fly with parents and others?
