Man Charged In Queens Kidnapping, Ransom Plot Claims He’s ‘Not A Criminal’

According to police, businessman Pedro Portugal was bound and burned with acid as captors demanded a $3 million ransom from his family in Quito, Ecuador.

Police: Accomplices In Brutal Queens Kidnapping, Ransom Plot Flee The Country

NYPD Commissioner Kelly said Thursday that detectives were also looking for a man in New York City. Three others are being held without bail.

Suspects Charged With Kidnapping Queens Man, Holding Him Captive For 32 Days

Three men were charged Wednesday with kidnapping an Ecuadorean national in Queens, and holding him in a warehouse for a month as they demanded $3 million ransom.
