LIRR Officials: Elderly Escalator Victim ‘Asphyxiated’ At Lindenhurst Station

Flowers and burning candles now mark the blocked escalator entrance at the Lindenhurst Long Island Rail Road station where 88-year-old Irene Bernatzky fell and died from her injuries Tuesday.
