Staten Island Sandy Tent City Ordered Out Before Beach Season

In the New Dorp Beach section of Staten Island, a relief center constructed in the wake of superstorm Sandy is being told to make way for the upcoming summer.

Mayor’s Office Calls Reports That ‘Tent City Must Be Taken Down By Jan 1′ Unfounded

In an email to WCBS 880 the Mayor’s Office said that reports of an order to take down the tent city are unfounded, but Graziano said she is still cautious, and wants the city to help find tents in a warmer location.
