PCB Clean Up Under Way At P.S. 41 After Chemical Leaked From Light Fixture

Crews are scrambling to replace old light fixtures in one Staten Island school after toxic chemicals leaked onto a fifth grader on the first day of class.

Officials Rally, Want DOE To Shorten Timeframe To Rid Schools Of Toxic PCBs

About 700 New York City Schools have been contaminated with PCBs, and today elected officials called for the Department of Education to shorten its cleanup timetable.
