Dr. Jerome Nadler
There had been questions about why Nadler was unable to find his way out of the woods. The doctor said he became dazed and confused because he was dehydrated.
“It rained on one or two days and I remember cupping my mouth and trying to collect as much rainwater as I could,” Dr. Nadler said. “That’s one thing that I did to try and survive.”
The award will be presented by the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals on Saturday at Diamond in the Pines Park in Coram.
Jerome Nadler was last seen on Labor Day when he had gone fly fishing. He was discovered in a thick area of woods by a Suffolk County police K-9 unit.
