Eric LeGrand Believe Fund
Faith and love. Those are the forces driving a Rutgers student who was paralyzed on the field during a football game last year.
Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand made his first public appearance since being paralyzed in a game against Army more than four months ago. LeGrand attended a “Laugh to Heal Comedy Fest Fundraiser” for him at the Rutgers Athletic Center on Saturday.
The family of paralyzed Rutgers player Eric LeGrand updated his condition Thursday, the same day the junior defensive tackle was named the winner of the 2010 Discover Orange Bowl Courage Award.
The New Jersey Nets are giving $75,000 to the “Eric LeGrand Believe Fund” to raise awareness of the player’s plight.
