There have been rumblings that FAO Schwarz, owned by Toys R Us, is close to a deal for a new flagship store in Times Square.
The last remaining FAO Schwarz retail store, on Fifth Avenue, will soon be closing.
The store is also hosting a special event Friday to help drum up as many cash and toy donations as possible.
Visitors can check out an original Steiff Teddy Bear from 1905, Monopoly from 1935, a Barbie doll from 1959 and an Easy-Bake Oven from 1964.
