Police Unions Join Fight Against NYPD Monitor

The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association filed motions Thursday in Manhattan federal court on behalf of four police unions, and the Sergeant’s Benevolent Association filed separately.

The court papers filed by the Justice Department say the government was weighing in “only in order to assist the court on the issue of remedy, and only should it find that NYPD’s stop-and-frisk practices are unlawful.”
