Police have arrested a suspect in the July 4 shooting of an NYPD officer at the Cypress Hills Houses in Brooklyn.
A New York City police officer was released from Jamaica Hospital Friday afternoon, while police questioned two people of interest in the shooting that left him wounded in a Brooklyn public housing development.
Police said 19-year-old Kysheen Oliver was charged with assault. They said he was the boyfriend of Teyuana Cummings, who left her son in his care while she took her two older children to school.
17-month-old boy was taken to Brookdale University Hospital. He was said to be suffering from internal and external injuries — some old enough to suggest a pattern of abuse.
