Newark Woman Accused Of Starving, Dumping Pit Bull Pleads Not Guilty

A New Jersey woman accused of starving a dog that was found at the bottom of a trash chute pleaded not guilty Thursday to animal abuse charges.

Kisha Curtis was charged with four counts of animal cruelty. The 28-year-old could face up to six months in jail, a $1,000 fine or community service if convicted.
