Taxi Union Head Says Turf War May Have Sparked Bronx Shopping Cart Toss

Fernando Mateo, spokesman for the Federation of Taxi Drivers, said the incident that left two men seriously injured Monday night stems from a rivalry between legal and illegal livery drivers.

Falling Cart At Bronx Shopping Center Nearly Kills 2 Deliverymen

Authorities said someone pushed or threw a blue shopping cart over a third-story landing at the Gateway Center in Mott Haven, seriously injuring two deliverymen standing below.
