A parade of dignitaries came out to pay their respects to Geraldine Ferraro Thursday at a private service at the Church Of Saint Vincent Ferrer on the Upper East Side.
It was in 1984 when Diane Dimond met then-Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro. The political reporter was assigned to cover Ferraro’s campaign and the politician made a lasting mark on Dimond.
Geraldine Ferraro, a former New York Congresswoman, died on Saturday, her family said in a statement.
