Mayor William Akers said restoring the boardwalk so that it can be walked on safely should be done by May 10.

NJ Unemployment Rate Inches Upward In July, Hits Highest Mark Since 1977

Nationally, unemployment rose by one-tenth of 1 percent in July, to 8.3 percent. The state had 12,000 fewer non-farm jobs in July than it did in June.
