Coutinho: Hale Will Be Missed, But Mets Coaching Changes Make Sense

The Mets have announced some coaching changes for 2012 and my immediate reaction is that losing Chip Hale is a big hit while adding Tim Teufel as third base coach and Ricky Bones as bullpen coach makes sense.

Mets Switch Coaching Staff, Let Go Mookie Wilson

The Mets announced several changes in their staff Wednesday. First base coach Mookie Wilson, bench coach Ken Oberkfell, bullpen coach Jon Debus and third base coach Chip Hale will not return.

Mets Hire Mookie, Oberkfell For 2011 Coaching Staff

Ken Oberkfell has been hired as the New York Mets’ bench coach under new manager Terry Collins following two seasons as the team’s Triple-A manager at Buffalo.
