Joseph Callahan, 69, of Fairfield pleaded not guilty in Bridgeport Superior Court to 112 counts of illegal possession of explosives and other charges.
“This has been a very stressful time and I truly regret that I put everybody at inconvenience,” 69-year-old Joseph Callahan said following a brief court appearance in Bridgeport on Wednesday.
Joseph C. Callahan, 69, was charged Monday with 112 counts of illegal possession of explosives, reckless endangerment and manufacture of bombs. He is free on bond and scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 16.
Police say 69-year-old Joseph Callahan was charged Monday with 11 counts of illegal possession of explosives, one count of manufacturing bombs and six counts of reckless endangerment.
Police responded to the Bronson Road home Tuesday and discovered hazardous chemicals, up to 200 guns, tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition and homemade explosive devices.
