Former NYPD Officer Franklin Mata Gets 60 Days For Official Misconduct

Former NYPD Officer Franklin Mata has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for official misconduct. His former partner Kenneth Moreno, who was also convicted of official misconduct, was sentenced to a year in jail on Monday.

Ex-NYPD Officer Kenneth Moreno Gets Year In Jail After Misconduct Conviction

It was the verdict that shocked the city. On Monday it was the sentence that shocked the defendant. The ex-cop acquitted of raping a woman, but convicted of misconduct, was given a year in jail, even though probation recommended he walk free.
