Jeromie Cancel smirked, lolled in his chair and finally applauded as he was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years to life in prison in the strangling death of Pace University student Kevin Pravia.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office released a video of Jeromie Cancel admitting to strangling a 19-year-old Pace University student in Chelsea in 2008.
Kevin Pravia, a 19-year-old honors student, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment with an electrical cord wrapped around his neck in August of 2008.
A police officer said he initially thought a man was just bragging by saying he’d killed a New York City college student while watching the horror movie “Saw.”
