New Legislation Seeks To Eradicate PCBs In NY Schools
Mayor Bloomberg signed legislation today relating to the notification and reporting of the possible presence of PCBs in city schools. The presence of toxic PCBs in schools has been a hot button issue for parents for a long time.
Activists Want Quicker Removal Of PCBs From School Lighting Fixtures In NYC
The federal lawsuit was filed by New York Lawyers for the Public Interest on behalf of a parents’ group. Department of Education spokeswoman Natalie Ravitz said the 10-year plan is responsible and will cause minimum disruption.
